Real Estate Trainee - Property Management

Macarthur Real Estate Agency Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Real Estate Trainee - Property Management to join our dynamic team in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a full-time position based in our Wagga Wagga office (2650) where you will begin your career in the property management sector under the guidance of experienced professionals.

This trainee role offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational knowledge and practical skills in property management administration. You will support our property management team in delivering exceptional service to our landlords and tenants whilst gaining comprehensive exposure to all aspects of residential and commercial property management operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with day-to-day property management administrative tasks including data entry, filing and record maintenance
  • Supporting the coordination of maintenance and repair requests from tenants and following up with contractors
  • Helping to prepare and distribute rental statements, invoices and other property-related correspondence
  • Answering telephone and email enquiries from tenants, landlords and contractors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Assisting with lease management duties including reviewing tenancy agreements and coordinating lease renewals
  • Supporting the scheduling and organisation of property inspections and viewings
  • Learning to use property management software systems and developing proficiency in relevant IT applications
  • Assisting with tenant screening processes and onboarding procedures
  • Supporting the collection and reconciliation of rental payments and other property-related accounts
  • Contributing to the general administration of the office and helping to maintain organised filing systems

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in pursuing a career in property management and real estate
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanour
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn new software systems
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to handle enquiries professionally and diplomatically
  • Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ideally, Year 12 or equivalent qualification or relevant VET qualification in business or administration
  • Previous experience in customer service, administration or a similar role is desirable but not essential

Licensed Real Estate Agent

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Licensed Real Estate Agent role based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. The Licensed Real Estate Agent will manage the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting for new listings, conducting property appraisals, preparing and presenting marketing proposals, and coordinating property inspections and open homes. The role involves guiding clients through negotiations, preparing and reviewing contracts in collaboration with legal professionals, and ensuring all transactions comply with relevant legislation and agency procedures. The agent will maintain regular communication with vendors and buyers, provide market feedback and updates, and deliver high-quality customer service at all times. The position also includes maintaining accurate records in the agency’s systems, attending team meetings, participating in local community and networking events, and contributing to a positive, collaborative office culture.

Qualifications

  • Current Real Estate License (or equivalent qualification) with solid knowledge of Real Property principles and local market conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in Real Estate and Sales, including listing, marketing, and successfully closing property transactions.
  • Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to build rapport, communicate clearly, and manage expectations for diverse clients.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
  • Proficiency with real estate CRM systems, property listing platforms, and basic office software.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for attending inspections, appraisals, and client meetings.
  • Proactive, ethical, and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Prior experience in the Wagga Wagga or broader NSW property market is highly regarded.
